Planning Commission – The Orwell Planning Commission members are appointed by the Select Board each year. They are responsible for the town land use regulations and interact with the Addison County Regional Planning Commission (ACRP). The Orwell Planning Commission meets regularly on Third Wednesday of each month after the Development Review Board meeting. Meetings are open to the public.
Development Review Board – The Orwell Development Review Board considers and rules on building permits and town projects to make sure they are in compliance with the town land use regulations. Its members are appointed by the Select Board each year. The Development Review Board meets on the Third Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. Meetings are open to the public.
